A number of my friends who read thrillers have been telling me about Lee Child for quite a while. I finally got a chance to start the Jack Reacher series and I can definitely see what all the fuss is about. This book was wonderful. It grabbed me right off of the bat, and the story kept me going the whole way through. I love it when a thriller gets me to keep changing my mind about what I think is REALLY going on. This one certainly did. Every time I thought I had figured out who were the good guys and who were the bad, something would happen and I would find out that I was wrong. Aside from the great twists and turns in this story, I also loved the story line and the details about the business end of things that were included in the book. It really made interesting reading.
In addition, Jack Reacher is one of the most interesting new character that I have come across in a while. I love that he is at times a loner, but at others a very caring individual, and always an enigma. At least he was in this book. I am sure that we will get to know more and understand more about him as the series continues. Along with Jack, there are a number of other great characters in this book.
A definite 4 star book, and I am really looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
